Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-22

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site. If you're using it on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business.

These terms cover the website and your account. The equipment rental itself is governed by the rental agreement you sign for each order — where they differ, the signed rental agreement controls the rental.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to reserve equipment. Renting may also require a valid driver's license and, for some equipment, proof of insurance — the product page and your rental agreement will say so.

3. Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Don't share your account. Each renter needs their own.
  • Tell us right away at security@rightspotrental.com if you suspect someone else has gotten into your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the site for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
  • Reserve equipment you don't intend to rent, or use reservations to keep equipment away from other customers.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without our written permission.
  • Probe, attack, or interfere with the site's security or infrastructure (legitimate security research is welcome — email security@rightspotrental.com).
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

5. Reservations, payment & cancellation

Placing a reservation holds equipment for your dates. What you pay and when — including any booking deposit, the refundable security deposit, and payment due at pickup or delivery — is shown before you reserve and spelled out in your rental agreement. Card payments are processed by Stripe under their own terms.

Need to cancel or change your dates? Do it from your order page or call the yard — the earlier the better, so the equipment can go back on the calendar for someone else. Deposit and cancellation specifics are in your rental agreement.

6. Content + intellectual property

You keep ownership of anything you upload (like photos or documents on an order). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and process it only as needed to run your rental.

The Right Spot Rental name, logo, website, and software are owned by Right Spot Rental LLC. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them without written permission.

7. Termination

You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Account. We may suspend or close your account if you violate these terms, leave a balance unpaid, or if we receive a valid legal request. In serious cases we'll act immediately; otherwise we'll give notice and a chance to sort it out. Closing an account doesn't erase what you owe under a signed rental agreement.

8. Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Equipment condition and fitness are addressed in your rental agreement, not here.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the website is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100. Liability arising from an equipment rental is governed by your rental agreement.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts serving St. Croix County, Wisconsin.

11. Changes

We'll update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes are announced by email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms; if you disagree, delete your account before then. Changes here never alter a rental agreement you've already signed.
