How it works

Most of our customers have never rented equipment before. Here's the whole deal, no fine print required.

  1. 1. Reserve it

Find what you need by project or category, pick your dates right on the page, add it to your cart, and reserve online. Every price is on the page — day rate, weekly rate, and the deposit — so there's nothing to discover at the counter. Prefer to talk it through? Just call us at (715) 555-0148.

About that deposit: it's a hold on your card, not a charge. We release it when the gear comes back the way it left.

  2. 2. Pick it up (or have it delivered)

Swing by the yard in Hudson, WI — we're open Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:30pm · Sat 8am–2pm. Bring your driver's license. Renting a trailer? Bring a tow vehicle with the right hitch ball — we list the ball size on every trailer's page so you can check yours in the driveway before you leave home.

Before anything rolls out, we do a quick condition walk-around together — a couple of photos, thirty seconds — so we both know exactly what shape it left in. Can't make it to the yard? Delivery is available for a fee based on distance; ask when you reserve.

  3. 3. Use it

Rates are simple: a day rate for short jobs, a weekly rate that's cheaper per day for long ones. Weekend days each count — a Friday-to-Sunday rental is three days. And there's a grace window on returns, so hitting traffic on the way back doesn't roll you into another day.

Anything with an engine comes with an hour allowance for each rental day — it's on the machine's page, along with the per-hour rate if you run past it.

  4. 4. Bring it back

We check it in together with the same walk-around we did at pickup, comparing against the photos from handout. Everything looks right — and it almost always does — and the deposit hold is released. That's it.

Honest answers to fair questions

Do I need insurance?
For most tools, no. Two kinds of gear do need it, and each product page says which — that page is the one to trust, because the requirement is set per item.
Proof of insurance — for anything that travels on the road behind your vehicle, like a trailer or an ATV going out on one. Your own policy covers it; bring the insurance card from your wallet and we'll note the carrier and expiry at the counter.
Certificate of insurance — for pro-grade gear like a large chipper. This one is a document your insurance agent issues, not the card in your wallet, so ask them for it a day or two before you come in. You can reserve online in the meantime.
Renting also needs a valid driver's license, and riders must be 18 or older.
What if I break it?
Most gear can add an optional damage waiver when you reserve — it covers accidental damage from normal use, so an honest mishap doesn't turn into a bill. Without a waiver, repair costs come out of the deposit first, and we'll always walk you through it before anything is charged.
Will it fit in my SUV?
We label it. Anything that fits in a typical SUV says so right on its page — and for the stuff that doesn't, we'll set you up with a trailer or deliver it to your driveway.
